Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Commercial Electrician with 5-6 years of experience in commercial electrical work. The right candidate will be comfortable working on a variety of projects, including new construction, remodels, and commercial generator installations. You must be a dependable team player who is committed to quality, safety, and professionalism.

Duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
• Renovate and build electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes
• Perform high voltage (277/480v) electrical work, including troubleshooting and repairs
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as frame carpenters and handymen, to complete projects
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems
• Test electrical systems for functionality and safety
• Lead and manage small crew of 1-2 men on small to medium sized jobsites

Experience:

• Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license (preferred) or equivalent certification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade and 3phase systems
• Lighting repair and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of high voltage (277/480v) electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
• Familiarity national electrical codes and regulations
