Journeyman HVAC Technician

Journeyman HVAC Technician Benton, KY 42025 $22.50 - $32.50 an hour - Full-time $22.50 - $32.50 an hour - Full-time J&M A/C & Refrigeration, LLC has an opening for a full-time Journeyman HVAC Service Technician. J&M is a locally owned and operated business located near Benton, KY. We specialize in both Residential and Commercial Heating and Cooling as well as Commercial Refrigeration and Restaurant Equipment Repair. J&M services clients in the Western Kentucky and Northwest Tennessee areas. We are currently looking for a qualified individual to join our specialized team of HVAC Technicians and Installers.

Requirements:

Applicant must possess a strong working knowledge of Residential and Commercial HVAC Systems and Refrigeration Equipment. Three years experience in the HVAC field is required. In order to effectively perform this position, strong written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to work both independently and with a team, are necessary. Applicant must also have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be willing to submit to a background check.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance on Residential and Commercial HVAC systems, Commercial Refrigeration units, and Ice Machines Troubleshoot and repair Residential and Commercial HVAC sytems, Refrigeration units, and Ice Machines Troubleshoot and repair various units of restaurant equipment including: ovens, grills, and fryers Communicate with vendors to order parts and materials as needed Communicate in a professional manner with clients and office staff Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm with occasional overtime during peak business seasons. Technicians rotate on-call responsibilities on a week-by-week basis, averaging one week per month. Technicians are paid a premium for being on-call plus a premium per each call out.

Compensation:

J&M offers a competitive compensation plan. The pay rate for this position is $25.00/hour-$38.00/hour dependent upon experience and qualifications.
