Job Description

Description Job Summary :
Under the supervision of the area General Foreman and Journeyman Lineman Foreman this position will be responsible and accountable for the completion of in-field transmission line jobs, both maintenance and construction.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate(s) will possess the following experience and/or skills: Experience as a journeyman line technician. Able to climb wood and steel structure and work form a bucket truck. Able to operate digger truck and other related equipment. Successfully complete Lineman Red Tag Certification. Must have a C.D.L. license or obtain license within six months of initial employment. Complete any internal line training program. Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of Electrical Transmission lines. Able to read and understand drawings, schematics, and operating instructions and manuals relating to transmission equipment. Safety and Environmental knowledge. Ability to verbally communicate effectively and accurately. Be available during off-duty hours. Familiar and able to use Microsoft and customer software. Must meet residency requirement of 30 miles driving distance or less from the city listed on the job posting to the employee's residence. Able to work and retain access to all ITC related substations, ROW's and facilities.
