Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the accounting and finance functions of our manufacturing operations. This role will assist with day-to-day accounting activities with a focus on inventory, production costs, and manufacturing-related financial reporting as well as to support the entire finance operations including A/R, Credit, Payables, Payroll and HR. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to build hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries Support inventory accounting, including tracking inventory movements, reconciling inventory balances, and assisting with monthly work in process reporting Assist with cost accounting activities such as material, labor, and overhead tracking Help prepare and reconcile journal entries related to production and manufacturing expenses Reconcile bank, credit card, and selected balance sheet accounts Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Support preparation of financial reports related to manufacturing operations Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Assist with other accounting or finance projects as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing) Basic understanding of accounting principles Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, basic formulas) Good organizational and time-management skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years of accounting experience, internship, or relevant coursework Exposure to manufacturing or cost accounting concepts Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Great Plains, QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Sage, or similar) Familiarity with inventory control, bill of materials (BOMs), or production reporting Junior Accountant 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Kreamer, PA 17833 $45,000 - $75,000 a year
