Junior Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Work under the direction and supervision of a professional engineer and review project design parameters with Principal or Project Manager. Prepare comprehensive civil engineering designs for residential, commercial, institutional and municipal projects. Design stormwater management and wastewater disposal systems, municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, parking areas, and roadways. Development of detailed site, grading, utility and erosion and sediment control plans. Conduct percolation testing. Coordinate with owners, developers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycle. Interact with municipal officials to obtain approvals of design projects. Perform periodic on-site inspections of projects for compliance under the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation; record findings in log book and communicate with client or contractor when remediation is required. Perform construction inspections for new utilities and drainage piping; record findings in inspection reports. The position requires local travel, to various job sites and municipal meetings in the counties of Westchester, Fairfield, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, and Putnam.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. in Civil Engineering from an

ABET/EAC

accredited program. Three (3) years relevant experience in Civil Engineering and/or construction. Experience in a professional consulting environment. Proficient computer skills using AutoCAD, HydroCAD and Microsoft Suite. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Time management skills and excellent attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment on multiple deadlines. Pay:

$67,910.02 - $81,784.12 per year
