Junior Planner Job Summary:
The Junior Planner together with operations is responsible for the on-time delivery of parts and schedule adherence, from start until shipment, while providing transparent communication between program management and operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Production Plan
  • Responsible for production plan for the customer programs under her/his responsibility, including planning, monitoring, and driving on-time delivery to the customer
  • Support master planning to provide inputs for the production plan, review priorities and solve conflicts
  • Communicate the production plan to the shop floor
  • Review planning in the daily planning meetings with cross department teams
  • Measure planning execution and act based on these results and KPIs
  • Provide delivery planning to key account managers
  • Provide planning for spare parts
  • Propose action plans to solve bottlenecks
  • Analyses Requirements
  • Analyses the requirements for availability of components and required capacity to achieve on-time delivery to the customer
  • Immediately escalate capacity issues to operations and master planning
  • Follow-up Slow moving and rework processes
  • Actively involved in slow moving and rework processes to reduce WIP and old stock
  • Inform Quality department of slow moving items
  • Follow-up and escalate with MRB to guarantee timely communications to the customer and follow-up with PM to timely receive dispositions;
  • ERP data accuracy
  • Update master planner data such as lead times, safety stocks, order quantities, etc., to improve accuracy of the production plan
  • External and Internal Interactions
  • Work with key account manager and customer to improve delivery for customer needs
  • Provide recovery plan for late work orders to the customer
  • Provide long term delivery/recovery plan to key account manager
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

  • Open to travel (limited)
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor s in Supply Chain/Business or equivalent 1+ yrs. experience in buyer/planner/supply chain/procurement
  • Experience in production planning is a plus
  • Experience in an ERP system is a plus
