Job Description

About the Role We are launching a new manufacturing facility in the United States as part of Alfaparf Group, an international leader in the beauty and personal care industry headquartered in Italy. This role is designed for a high-potential, hands-on professional who wants to grow within a fast-evolving industrial environment. You will be involved in both purchasing and production planning, supporting the ramp-up of a new plant from early-stage operations to full-scale manufacturing. This is not a structured corporate role. It is a start-up within an established group, where flexibility, ownership, and problem-solving matter more than hierarchy. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Procurement Manage purchasing of raw materials, indirect materials, and plant-related supplies Support supplier sourcing, RFQs, and vendor selection Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery) Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries aligned with production needs Gradually expand scope to include packaging procurement as production ramps up Production Planning Support basic production planning activities (initially low SKU complexity) Create and manage simple production schedules Monitor inventory levels and ensure material availability Collaborate with operations to adjust plans based on plant needs Scale planning processes as product portfolio grows • Experience in Planning through an ERP. Strong MRP knowledge required (SAP ERP experience is a plus). Logistics & Operations Support Assist with transportation coordination (inbound materials) Support import/export activities (basic customs documentation and coordination) Work with logistics partners to ensure efficient material flow Help structure basic supply chain processes for the new plant ________________________________________ Profile & Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or planning (manufacturing preferred but not mandatory) Strong willingness to work in a start-up environment with evolving structure Hands-on mindset with ability to manage both operational and coordination tasks Basic understanding of logistics, transportation, or customs processes is a plus Good analytical and organizational skills Comfortable working with Excel and basic ERP systems ________________________________________ Languages Native or fluent English (mandatory) Additional language (Italian or Spanish) is a plus, not required ________________________________________ What We Are Looking For (Reality Check) Someone who is adaptable, pragmatic, and not afraid of ambiguity A person who can grow with the plant, not someone expecting a fully structured environment Ability to balance planning + purchasing without silos ________________________________________ Why Join Us Direct exposure to international operations and decision-making Fast learning curve with real responsibilities from day one Clear growth path as the plant scales in complexity and volume
Skills:
MS Excel intermediate level [Reference, Pivot Table, basic Statistics] this is a Must . Intermediate-Advanced Excel test will be administered
Other Skills:
Analytics, problem solver, Customer and Sales oriented, Planning, Scheduling, Computer literacy. Knowledge of SAP (planning section) a plus.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
