Job Description:
North Middlesex Regional High School is seeking a JV Girls Soccer Coach to assist in leading and developing the junior varsity girls' soccer program. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Head Varsity Coach to help guide, mentor, and improve student-athletes both on and off the field. This role will focus on player development, fostering teamwork, and building the skills necessary for athletes to succeed in high school soccer. The JV Girls Soccer Coach will help manage daily practices, prepare for games, and provide both individual and group instruction, while promoting the school's core values of leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Practice & Skill Development:
Assist in planning and conducting practice sessions that focus on skill development, tactical understanding, and team strategies. Provide individual coaching to players, offering constructive feedback to help them improve both technically and tactically. Create a positive environment that fosters the growth of student-athletes both on and off the field.
Game Day Preparation & Support:
Help prepare the team for games, including conducting warm-ups, organizing player lineups, and offering strategic input. Support the Head Coach in managing game-day decisions, including player rotations and in-game adjustments. Foster a positive and competitive atmosphere during games, encouraging athletes to perform at their best.
Team Support & Supervision:
Supervise athletes during practices, games, and team events, ensuring players are following team policies and demonstrating respect for others. Help build team chemistry and camaraderie, ensuring all players feel included and supported. Promote good sportsmanship, leadership, and personal responsibility among all players.
Communication & Collaboration:
Maintain regular communication with athletes, parents, and school staff regarding team progress, upcoming events, and any other relevant matters. Collaborate with the Head Coach and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the JV soccer program. Assist with organizing team logistics such as transportation, scheduling, and equipment management.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all team activities, practices, and games comply with the policies of North Middlesex School District and MIAA regulations. Maintain a safe environment by following injury prevention protocols and concussion management practices. Stay current on required certifications, including Concussion Training (NFHS or CDC-approved), First Aid & CPR Certification, and
CORI/SORI

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience or a strong understanding of soccer fundamentals and team strategies. Ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, parents, and school administration. Passion for soccer and a commitment to fostering student-athletes' development both athletically and personally. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team. Must meet all district and MIAA coaching requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous coaching or playing experience at the high school or collegiate level. Ability to motivate athletes and foster a positive and inclusive team environment. Knowledge of soccer fitness and injury prevention techniques. Experience working with high school student-athletes.
Salary:
Per NMRSD Coach Stipend Schedule.
