Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic K-5 Math Instructional Coach to inspire and elevate mathematics education across elementary classrooms. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a catalyst for instructional excellence by providing targeted coaching, professional development, and curriculum support to teachers. Your expertise will help foster a vibrant learning environment where students develop strong mathematical skills and confidence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence teaching practices, integrate innovative learning technologies, and promote a culture of continuous improvement in elementary mathematics education. Responsibilities Collaborate with teachers to design, implement, and refine engaging math instruction aligned with district standards and best practices. Conduct classroom observations to identify strengths and growth areas, providing constructive feedback and tailored coaching sessions. Lead professional development workshops focused on instructional strategies, curriculum development, and the integration of learning technology tools such as Blackboard, LMS platforms, and Adobe Captivate. Support teachers in developing and utilizing effective assessments, including formative and summative evaluations, to monitor student progress. Facilitate the adoption of instructional design principles using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) models to enhance lesson planning and content delivery. Assist in creating or customizing curriculum materials that incorporate SCORM-compliant e-learning modules for blended learning environments. Promote adult education best practices by delivering engaging training sessions on topics like project management, content development, and classroom management techniques. Serve as a resource for integrating instructional technology solutions that support differentiated instruction and student engagement. Maintain detailed records of coaching activities, professional development sessions, and teacher progress to inform ongoing support strategies. Experience Demonstrated classroom experience teaching elementary mathematics at the K-5 level with a strong understanding of curriculum standards. Proven success in instructional coaching or teacher professional development roles within educational settings. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or similar platforms for content delivery and tracking learner progress. Knowledge of adult education principles combined with effective presentation skills to engage diverse audiences. Experience designing e-learning content using tools like Adobe Captivate or other authoring software that supports SCORM standards. Strong project management skills to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate instructional concepts and foster collaborative relationships among educators.
