Kayak & Bike Shop Associate/ Bike Mechanic Location:

Winter Harbor, Maine on the Schoodic Peninsula, steps from the Acadia National Park Schoodic District entrance. Sea Schoodic Kayak & Bike is in search of a candidate to join our team in Winter Harbor! Sea Schoodic Kayak & Bike is a bike and fresh water kayak rental shop located on the Schoodic Peninsula. We operate seasonally, from May

• October and are hiring for a part-time employee
• with good potential of full time, to join us this summer!

We enjoy a short, but very busy season.

Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities will include opening/closing (depending on your scheduled shift.) Preparing all equipment and rentals for each reservation. Greeting and interacting with each customer upon arrival and making them comfortable with their rentals. This will include ensuring proper fit of equipment: bike helmets, bike frame, life jackets, etc. Answering questions about the area and educating clients on where to ride/paddle. Sea Schoodic also offers rentals for our tiniest of riders and paddlers! Having experience working with children is a major advantage. We want everyone renting with us especially our youngest of customers, to feel comfortable with their bike, attachable bike seat, trailer, tag-a-long or hitting the water in their kayak! The use of tools is required in this position

• basic knowledge of skills requiring screwdrivers, pliers, air compressor, etc.

If you have bike mechanic experience and the ability to repair bike components, please contact us! This is not a requirement for the position, but is highly desired. This position can have its fast-paced moments and does require a candidate who can think on their feet and multi-task.
