Job Description

We are a structured, lifestyle-based dog training and boarding facility focused on leadership, clarity, and purposeful care. Our programs include boarding, board-and-train, structured day camp, and private training. Every dog in our care is handled with intention and professionalism. Position Overview We are hiring a Part-Time Kennel Technician / Day Camp Assistant to support daily kennel operations and structured day camp activities. This is a hands-on, physical position — not a desk job. We are looking for someone calm, observant, dependable, and comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including high-drive working breeds. Responsibilities Kennel & Facility Care Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, crates, and common areas Laundry and general facility upkeep Feeding and watering dogs according to individualized instructions Monitoring health, appetite, and behavior Day Camp Support Assisting with structured group play (not chaotic free play) Safely managing dog interactions Practicing basic obedience structure (sit, down, place, leash walking) Loading and unloading dogs for transport when needed Client & Team Support Communicating clearly with leadership about dog behavior or concerns Following handling protocols exactly as instructed Maintaining a calm, professional presence at all times Requirements 18+ years old Reliable transportation Able to lift 50+ pounds Comfortable working outdoors in all weather Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods Available one weekend day per week (required) Prior dog handling experience preferred (training, kennel, vet, farm, etc.) Ideal Candidate Naturally calm and confident Not easily flustered Observant and detail-oriented Takes direction well Understands that structure creates safety Team-oriented and professional This is not a "just play with dogs" position. We are looking for someone who understands that consistency and leadership create stability, safety, and freedom. Schedule Part-Time | Approximately 15-25 hours per week Shifts are structured as follows:
Morning Shift:
8:00 AM•11:30
AM Afternoon Shift:
2:00 PM•4:30
PM Evening Shift:
7:00 PM•9:00 PM On assigned workdays, team members will be scheduled for all three shifts . Employees are permitted to leave between shifts or may remain on the property between scheduled work times. One weekend day per week is required.

$15/hour
