Kennel Attendant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Summer Help that has the possibility to turn into a Part Time Kennel Assistant, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring that all animals receive the highest level of care and attention. Being a newly established Boarding and Daycare facility, the Summer Help and Part Time Kennel Assistant position has limited hours available now, however there will be room for growth within the business as we grow. We are currently looking for availability to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), 2-3 shifts every other week, and holidays as needed. We are looking for someone that can work alone with 10-15 dogs at a time. Training is available but we need this position to be filled with someone that has had kennel experience and experience working alone. This position also requires to be available for any call outs or extra shifts as needed. We are looking to grow Savy's Pet Lodge one employee at a time as the business grows. Duties Providing a safe environment while socializing and playing with dogs in playgroups Administering medication as needed Cleaning kennels Dishes, sanitizing Loads of laundry Cleaning and maintaining facility Answering phones/emails Payment processing Loading medical records, pictures and notes to records Able to post on Facebook during shift - adding pictures and captions. Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Support dog training sessions and help reinforce positive behaviors. Engage with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills in animal care.

Pay:

$10.00 - $11.00 per hour
