Kennel Cleaner

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, ensuring a safe and clean environment for pets. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness while providing exceptional care for animals in our facility. This is a dog breeding facility so you will be cleaning up after moms and their pups. It's a small in home business that's looking for a caring and organized person. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting animal enclosures and common areas. Ensure that all animal care areas are kept clean, organized, and free from hazards. Handle and restrain animals safely during cleaning procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. Assist with basic pet grooming tasks as needed, including bathing and brushing. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with pet owners and addressing their concerns. Monitor the health and behavior of animals in your care, reporting any issues to the on-site manager. Support kennel operations by assisting with feeding, exercising, and caring for animals. Participate in training sessions for dog handling and animal care techniques as required. Requirements Experience in dog training or handling is preferred. Background in veterinary assistance or technician roles is highly desirable. Familiarity with pet grooming practices is a plus. Previous experience in pet sitting or kennel environments is beneficial. Strong skills in animal handling and restraint techniques are essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (up to 50 pounds). Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
