Job Description

Position Summary:
A Peaceful Pack is seeking a dedicated Kennel Support team member to assist with the day-to-day operations of our doggie daycare and boarding facility. This entry-level position plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest level of care and service for our canine clients and their owners. The Kennel Support staff will assist drivers and managers with various tasks around the facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about animal care and looking to gain experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support in daily care activities, including bathing, nature walks, nail trimming, and teeth brushing, and Ear cleaning under the supervision of experienced staff. Help supervise dogs in the yard, playing a role in ensuring they are safe, happy, and engaged. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the facility, including deep cleaning kennels, laundry duties, dishes, sweeping mopping, organization and general sanitary tasks. Support the management team with inventory checks, including food, medication, and supplies, ensuring everything is adequately stocked. Aid in the preparation and clean-up of feeding following precise instructions to meet the individual needs of each dog. Contribute to social media content by capturing candid moments of dogs during their stay for the team to share. Participate in team meetings, offering observations and suggestions for improving pet care and facility operations. Managing Dogs and overseeing yards during play hours. Talking Dogs on walks. Contributing to our Private Doggie Daycare and Boarding Team and Culture.
Salary & Benefits:
Starting pay at $13 hour during probation, with potential increases to $14.00 per hour post-probation. Potential quarterly raises of 1.5%, capping at $14 per hour, based on performance and dedication. Comprehensive on-the-job training in all aspects of dog care and facility maintenance. Requirements:
A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to providing the best possible care. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Strong team player with a willingness to learn and take direction from managers and experienced staff. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. No previous experience required, but a passion for animal care is a must.
