Full Job Description:

Looking for an experienced kitchen designer who is able to design and clearly discuss cabinetry layouts and design with clients. Emphasizing function, as well as design details such as door styles, finishes, accessories and construction materials. Typical responsibilities will include meeting with clients, builders and contractors, creating designs and estimates with 2020 software while considering client's needs, desires and budget constraints, ordering products and managing job to completion. Looking for an honest individual who is self-motivated, focused, has attention to detail and is relatable to clients.

Primary Duties:

• Do blue print take offs to prepare an initial cabinetry design for customer that fits within their budget
• Meet with homeowner or contractor to refine the cabinetry design and sell the job
• Propose products and make selections that fit within the client's design and budgetary requirements
• Field measure project to accurately ensure design will fit
• Check appliance and cabinetry tolerance concerns within the design
• Order necessary products to fulfill agreed upon design
• Coordinate delivery
• Meet with carpenter to review design and installation
• Address and resolve issues that may arise
• Manage the project from beginning to end

Requirements:

• High level of integrity
• Cabinetry design and sales experience
• Attention to detail
• Possess cabinetry knowledge to be able to explain the differences between cabinet lines, wood species, and finish techniques.
• Create and maintain organized project files with all documents
• Good problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
• Multi-tasking and the ability to handle several projects at once
• Working knowledge of 20/20 design software
• Active listening skills
• Excellent customer service skills: the ability to be patient, empathetic, accurate, compassionate, responsive, resourceful, and conscientious.
• Excellent organizational, time management, written and oral communication
