Part to Full Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Production Manager to oversee a manufacturing kitchen operations. This role is responsible for managing staff, maintaining production efficiency, ensuring food safety compliance, and scaling consistent, high-quality sauce production for retail and wholesale distribution. Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred to effectively lead and communicate with all team members. Key Responsibilities Production Kitchen Operations & Leadership Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations, including prep, production, and sanitation Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace Enforce company standards, procedures, and accountability Wholesale Sauce Production Manage large-batch production of sauces (e.g., marinara, vodka, pesto, specialty sauces) Ensure consistency in recipes, portioning, and quality control Monitor production timelines to meet wholesale and retail demand Coordinate packaging, labeling, and storage for distribution Inventory & Cost Control Manage inventory levels, ordering, and vendor relationships Minimize waste, and optimize production efficiency Maintain proper rotation (FIFO) and storage standards Food Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all NYC/NY State health regulations Maintain HACCP standards and sanitation logs Oversee proper labeling, dating, and traceability of all products Collaboration & Growth Work with ownership to improve recipes, production systems, and scalability Support new product development and seasonal offerings Coordinate with front-of-house and wholesale teams for demand planning Qualifications 3+ years of kitchen management or production leadership experience Experience with batch cooking and/or food manufacturing (sauces, prepared foods, etc.) strongly preferred Fluent in English and Spanish Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, DOH regulations) Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Performance-based growth opportunities Employee discounts on store products Stable, year-round position with growth potentialSimilar remote jobs
