Duties Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various dishes Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards Serve food to customers or staff in accordance with established service protocols Help with menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming meals and catering events Support meal preparation for catering services or special events as needed Experience Previous experience working in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required Experience in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry is highly valued Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential Culinary experience including knife skills and meal preparation is advantageous Familiarity with kitchen equipment, cooking methods, and food presentation techniques is beneficial Prior experience in catering or serving in a restaurant environment will help you excel in this role Join us to be part of a lively team committed to delivering quality meals with passion!
