PM Job Description:

Actual Solutions Tutoring is seeking a female Korean language and culture tutor to work with a bright young adult with developmental disabilities who has a deep appreciation for Korean history, language, and traditional culture. The client currently knows approximately 250 Korean words, has been learning through Rosetta Stone, and enjoys reading beginner Korean books. Candidate should have an appreciation for Korean culture and familiarity with more traditional and formal aspects of the Korean language. Sessions should focus on conversational language development, cultural exploration, and relationship-building within a supportive and engaging learning environment. While cognitively very capable and highly motivated, the client does experience limited energy and stamina. The family would like to begin with one 90-minute session per week and gradually increase over time as comfort, rapport, and stamina build. Preferred meeting locations include the Toms River Library or nearby sister library branches.

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized instruction in conversational Korean Support foundational language skills Incorporate Korean culture, traditions, and social norms into lessons Emphasize both conversational and formal/traditional language use Adapt instruction to the learner's pace, style, and goals Foster a supportive, engaging, and confidence-building learning environment
