Role:

As a core member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be expected to: Perform, determine, apply and test procedures or processes of standard and non-standard tests. Use methods and concepts of chemistry/microbiology to test, analyze & locate operational / customer concerns and recommend corrective action. Participate in plant inspection programs. Support the production of safe, high quality products and team member safety. What We're Looking For:

Education/Experience:

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent AND Completion of 2 years of a bachelor's degree program in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or related field

AND/OR AAS

Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field AND/OR Minimum of 2 years' experience in Food or Healthcare Lab Perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions Able to lift 50 lbs. Perform basic measurements using scales, liquid measures Able to taste and handle dairy products and other ingredients that may contain allergens Basic computer proficiency including dataentry into Word & Excel Availability to work a variable schedule on occasion to cover other team member time off Able to handle chemicals and exposure to environmental allergens

Essential Duties:

NYS Ag & Markets Dairy license Must be willing to be trained in the importance of Critical Control Points (CCP's) and upon completion of the training, demonstrate knowledge of the Critical Control (CCP's) Basic science/lab skills Willing to lead by example the Perry's safety culture Commitment to living Perry's "values" required Strong communication skills Able to work independently and as part of a Team Accuracy, close attention to details. Willing to inform TM's of non-conforming events and help determine corrective action Availability to work a variable schedule on occasion to cover other team member time off Other duties or tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
