Lab Technician

Quality Lab Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our production process. This position offers opportunities for growth and development within the lab environment. Responsibilities Collect and prepare samples from various stages of production. Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of samples. Conduct thorough testing of finished products before release. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate results. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot any issues. Accurately enter and import test data into relevant systems. Maintain organized records of test results and related information. Generate Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) based on test results. Review and verify the accuracy of these documents. Perform testing and release incoming raw materials. Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure material quality. Keep the laboratory spaces clean, organized, and well-maintained. Regularly calibrate and maintain lab instruments. Organize and retain required records (both electronic and paper-based). Ensure compliance with record-keeping regulations. Coordinate activities with other Quality Technicians. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Essential Skills Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques. Experience in chemistry, biology, and quality control. Understanding of GMP, quality assurance, and quality control standards. Competency in analysis, wet chemistry, and titration. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Experience with Excel and quality systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in life science preferred. 2+ years of GMP quality, QA/QC, or lab experience required if lacking an Associate's or Bachelor's degree. If a candidate is a scientific new graduate, 2+ years of laboratory experience from education is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Porte, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
