Job Description

Description The Lab Technician oversees daily laboratory operations supporting drug device development studies. This role combines hands on lab support, study coordination, data integrity, shipping/compliance, and facility management to ensure efficient, compliant, and safe lab operations. Key Responsibilities Laboratory & Study Support
  • Support and independently lead laboratory studies, including device assembly, sample preparation, sterilization, and in vitro release activities
  • Coordinate follow up experiments, data analysis, and presentation of results
  • Perform image based and post use analyses (e.g., ImageJ, microscopy, color analysis)
  • Ensure proper documentation and conduct Data Integrity Reviews (DIR) Vendor & Study Coordination
  • Coordinate third party services such as gamma irradiation, including compliant packaging and shipment tracking
  • Support IVR studies with sampling, media replacement, and data analysis (R, Tableau) Shipping, Receiving & Compliance
  • Manage domestic and international shipping, including hazardous materials
  • Prepare customs, import/export, and FDA related documentation
  • Partner with export, courier, and trade compliance teams to ensure timely, compliant delivery
  • Serve as on site owner for material receiving and handoff when needed Lab Operations & Facilities
  • Oversee lab organization, inventory, storage, and space planning
  • Manage equipment purchasing, installation, and decommissioning
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, waste disposal, and safety compliance
  • Act as primary point of contact for vendors related to utilities, waste, and maintenance Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (chemistry / biochemistry preferred)
  • Experience working in wet lab environment
  • MS Office-based applications
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory safety practices and documentation
  • Experience with domestic/international shipping and regulatory documentation
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to work full-time (40hrs/week) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lexington, MA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
