We're seeking a motivated Laboratory Analyst II to support trace metals analysis in our environmental laboratory located in Kilgore, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys hands-on analytical testing, laboratory instrumentation, and producing accurate, high-quality data in support of environmental compliance and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and motivated by supporting daily laboratory operations, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team environment. What You'll Do Perform sample preparation, trace metals analysis, and QA/QC testing in accordance with EPA methods, SOPs, and regulatory standards Review, validate, and document analytical data within LIMS and escalate discrepancies or abnormal findings as needed Perform analytical calculations and assist with preparation of laboratory reports and documentation Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ICP, ICP-OES, and/or ICP-MS instrumentation and laboratory equipment Support QA/QC programs, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated laboratory environment Collaborate with laboratory staff to meet turnaround times and operational demands Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant lab experience may be considered 1-2 years of professional hands-on analytical laboratory experience Demonstrated experience operating, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation, preferably ICP, ICP-OES, and/or ICP-MS systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Work Schedule Full-time, onsite position following a standard Monday - Friday schedule Ability to work outside of scheduled hours, including evenings or weekends as needed Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion At SPL, we believe that a diverse team is a strong team.
