View More Jobs Laboratory Assistant United States Be the First to Apply Job Description UL Solutions is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join our RTP, NC Campus, to assist in coordinating sample workflow. Responsibilities Builds and/or adapts basic setup and test equipment for performance of tests. Performs tests using general laboratory equipment. Performs routine care of designated test equipment and work area. Operates computer terminal to extract/input readily available information and to use available software. As directed follows defined test plans and datasheets. Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results. Records and explains test results. Reads and interprets results of tests. Prepares charts, graphs and reports to explain test results. Examines test samples, reads measuring instruments and reviews test data with supervisor. Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and operational instructions. As instructed examines customer samples and learns to operate basic tests for each case. Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation. Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed. Receives instructions from and reports data to engineers and other laboratory technician staff. Records observed or calculated data on appropriate data sheets. Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems. Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job. Desire to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must.

Total Rewards:

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $36,400 to $45,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
