Laboratory Technician - II

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 21 years of age. 2-year degree from accredited college (preferably science related). Basic computer skills and ability to learn new computer applications. Must pass criminal background check and obtain work permit. Must be able to sit, stand, reach, and lift for long periods of time. RESPONSIBLITIES and DUTIES Utilize the LIMS system to create batches, enter sample prep information and maintain physical and electronic records. Perform sample homogenization & weigh out samples as needed. Prepare laboratory solutions and chemicals. Perform QC duties as assigned. Maintain clean and organized workspaces. Clean laboratory instruments and equipment. Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of necessary records. Follow good laboratory techniques to avoid cross-contamination or misidentified samples. Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
