The ideal candidate should be familiar with basic safety practices with the expectation that eventually the employee will be trained to use a skid steer to assist in daily tasks. Although no previous experience is necessary several traits would benefit the right candidate and the job description includes a few must haves. Ability to work 7-4 Monday through Friday (sick days, vacation days, and personal days accrued in conjunction with seniority) Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb in and out of equipment safely, and willingness to work outside potentially in inclement weather and temperatures. Customer service skills including the ability to give and take directions, answer questions politely, and retain knowledge of repetitive tasks and materials handled. Other skills include an understanding of the operating necessity to improvise, redirect, and prioritize tasks and customer accounts. A probation period will include proving the candidates ability to recognize and sort materials based on explanations and training, converse clearly, read and record digital weights legibly, and work with team members to ensure all data is recorded accurately. Although the job does not offer health insurance, compensation and pay is negotiable in accordance with applicants skill set.
