About Us Journey Postpartum LLC is a thriving lactation practice based in Dunedin, Florida, dedicated to supporting pregnant and postpartum families through compassionate, evidence-based care. We are passionate about meeting mothers where they are, in their homes, in our beautiful office near downtown Dunedin, and virtually. We believe that every mother deserves skilled, personalized lactation support throughout her entire breastfeeding journey. We are growing and looking for the right person to grow with us. About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and skilled International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to join our team in a part-time PRN capacity. This position begins with a manageable client load and expands naturally as you build confidence and rapport within the practice. Clinical responsibilities include a combination of in-office consultations, home visits throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, and virtual consultations. Teaching breastfeeding classes and facilitating postpartum support groups is a required and meaningful part of this role.
Schedule Wednesday and Friday:
In-office consultations at our Dunedin location (required) Additional days: Virtual consultations and home visits throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough counties (flexible, based on availability and demand)Training:
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during onboarding period Minimum availability of 3 days per week preferred Weekends and holidays are completely optional. We strongly value work-life balance Responsibilities Provide in-office, virtual, and in-home prenatal and postpartum lactation consultations Teach prenatal and postpartum breastfeeding classes and host breastfeeding support groups Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate with the practice owner and patient care coordinator to deliver exceptional continuity of care Be comfortable on camera for virtual visits and occasional marketing content Requirements Current IBCLC credential in good standing, or CLC awaiting results from the April 2026 IBCLC exam Experience providing lactation support in hospital, outpatient, and/or community-based settings Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough counties Comfortable teaching breastfeeding classes and facilitating group support Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to hire Highly compassionate, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about supporting women through all phases of their breastfeeding journey Preferred Qualifications Adjacent clinical credential: RN, SLP, OT, or RD strongly preferred Minimum 2 years of IBCLC experience in hospital or outpatient setting Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) Completion of IBCLC Masterclass or other oral habilitation/tethered oral tissue course Experience teaching breastfeeding classes or facilitating postpartum support groups Experience with Canva and social media content creation Demonstrated positive client outcomes and reviews What We Offer Competitive hourly wage commensurate with credentials and experience Generous travel stipend for all home visits Access to a beautiful, fully equipped private office near downtown Dunedin Supportive admin team. Our patient care coordinator handles all scheduling, new client outreach, and insurance billing so you can focus entirely on client care Up to $500 annually in continuing education reimbursement for L-CERP qualifying courses after 6 months of employment Flexible scheduling.
