Duties Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring proper horticultural practices. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and soil preparation. Maintain lawns through mowing, aerating, fertilizing, and weed control to promote healthy turf growth. Support landscape maintenance activities like irrigation system installation and repair, tree trimming, and snow plowing during seasonal changes. Contribute to hardscape construction projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stonework, and installing features such as patios or walkways. Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure tools like excavators and other machinery are in optimal condition. Follow safety protocols at all times while working with heavy machinery or in construction zones. Experience Prior experience with landscaping, gardening, or outdoor maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners. Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and small machinery such as excavators is a plus. Familiarity with lawn care techniques including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and pest control enhances your effectiveness on the job. Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design is advantageous. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety awareness. Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods are essential.
