Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Maintenance/Construction Specialist and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This energetic position involves performing a variety of landscaping, horticultural, and construction tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of commercial and residential landscapes. You will be responsible for executing maintenance routines, assisting with construction projects, and ensuring all landscape features are healthy, safe, and visually stunning. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, trimming trees, and applying lawn care treatments to keep grounds pristine. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to install or repair hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Operate machinery including excavators and snow plows to support construction projects or seasonal maintenance needs. Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth and safety. Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscapes; troubleshoot issues as needed. Assist in gardening activities like planting flowers, shrubs, and trees while adhering to horticultural best practices. Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for clients and visitors. Requirements Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience handling lawn care equipment, power tools, hand tools, and landscaping machinery. Prior experience in landscape maintenance or construction is highly preferred; familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus. Knowledge of horticulture principles, tree care techniques, irrigation systems, and general gardening practices. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators safely; valid certifications are advantageous but not mandatory. Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to safety procedures during all tasks. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions accurately.
