Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Landscape Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring productivity and quality of projects through management of O'Mara's landscape staff. This position requires knowledge and skill proficiency in all aspects of landscape construction and horticulture. The Landscape Operations Manager will collaborate with the landscape design/salespeople to ensure projects are produced to preserve the intent of design as well as meeting quality standards. Strong communication skills, an eye for detail/aesthetics, responsiveness, the ability to collaborate, generate ideas, implement improvements and problem solving, drive success in this position. Primary Job Duties (including, but not limited to): Schedule and manage workload, production efficiency and quality for landscape crews. This individual will have leadership skills to collaborate, train and empower employees. Communicate with designer/salesperson and clients as needed to share information regarding the project and to resolve any service issues both during and after the installation. Propose, sell and track, project addons and enhancement. Assist in creating and finalizing the project billing and progress payments. Schedule projects/manpower and manage landscape project production on multiple job sites. Coordinate with logistics for deliveries and material purchasing. Collect, review for accuracy and submit daily/weekly/project administrative paperwork and receipts. Track and manage production hours to budget and materials to budget. Inspect or audit production quality to meet company standards. Manage warranty replacement process and scheduling replacement/repair. Promote high customer service standards, develop a safety culture and create a positive and collaborative team environment. Continually build employee skills through regular training activities in collaboration with the training coordinator. Conduct performance reviews and hold staff responsible with key performance indicators. Manage landscape assets to prevent shrinkage and schedule service and repair as needed with mechanic. Assist in developing department budget and management of the Landscape Department budget. Inspect and enforce all company procedures, standards, safety policies and professional codes of conduct.What O'Mara Offers You:

Proven leadership and supervisory skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Has working knowledge and ability to use computer programs and operating software (MS-Word, Outlook, Excel etc.). Must be able to work for long periods of physical activity, including but not limited to-bending, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling & squatting. Valid driver's license with clean driving record Have or obtain within the first 60 days of employment: OSHA 30-hour, First Aid, and CPR Preferred Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in horticulture or related field 5-10 years' experience managing crews and projects in the landscaping industry.
