Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and watering to ensure healthy growth and vibrant appearance. Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes for planting, weeding, and soil preparation. Use power tools like trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers efficiently and safely to maintain lawns and gardens. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Execute hardscape installations such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor features using appropriate equipment. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal with proper techniques to promote safety and health. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for visitors or residents. Experience Prior experience in landscaping or horticulture is highly desirable; familiarity with lawn care practices is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to operating construction equipment such as excavators or other land-moving machinery is a plus. Hands-on experience with landscape maintenance including gardening, tree care, hardscape installation, and irrigation systems. Knowledge of landscaping principles combined with the ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Understanding of horticulture practices to support plant health and landscape aesthetics. Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Strong attention to detail with excellent teamwork skills for collaborating on large projects or routine maintenance tasks.
