Landscaping Salesperson / Estimator 11148 Chardon Road, Chardon, OH 44024
Part-time, Contract Part-time, Contract Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Salesperson / Estimator to join our landscaping team. This role is responsible for meeting with clients, assessing project needs, preparing accurate estimates, and closing sales for residential and/or commercial landscaping services. The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills with practical knowledge of landscaping practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet with prospective clients to assess landscaping needs and project scope Conduct on-site evaluations including measurements, site conditions, and material requirements Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for landscaping projects (design, installation, maintenance, etc.) Present proposals to clients and explain services, pricing, and timelines Follow up on leads and maintain strong client relationships Close sales and achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets Coordinate with project managers and crews to ensure smooth project handoff Maintain records of estimates, contracts, and customer interactions Stay current on plant materials, hardscaping, irrigation, and industry trends
Qualifications:
Previous experience in landscaping, construction estimating, or outdoor sales preferred Strong understanding of landscaping materials, plants, and installation processes Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to read site plans and perform basic measurements Proficiency with estimating software or CRM tools (preferred) Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites

Sales and negotiation skills Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating Time management and organization Problem-solving and solution-based selling Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation:
Commission only Bonuses for meeting sales targets (optional) Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement (if applicable)
Work Environment:
Combination of office work and field/site visits Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Flexible schedule may be required to meet client availability
