The City of Clinton is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Full-Time ROW/Maintenance Landscaping Technician I . This position performs unskilled and semi-skilled work involving the maintenance and repair of City streets, sidewalks, rights-of-way, and public areas. General duties include, but are not limited to: Mowing and landscaping Removing brush and fallen trees Patching streets Working around roadways and parking lots Residential and man-made/cellulosic refuse collection Performing other related maintenance duties as assigned Experience is preferred but not required. Minimum Requirements Requirements include, but are not limited to: Must be at least 18 years of age Must possess a High School Diploma or GED accredited, recognized, or reciprocated by the South Carolina Department of Education Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License with a good driving record Ability to perform strenuous and frequent physical labor, including walking, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly Must possess good customer service and oral/written communication skills Work is performed primarily outdoors in varying weather and climatological conditions year-round Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screening is required The City of Clinton offers the opportunity to serve the community while working in a team-oriented environment dedicated to public service and excellence.
