• working with lapping machines putting, removing and cleaning parts in both a standing and sitting position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manufacture (lapping) parts to customer specifications
• Measure parts in between cycles
• Clean parts
• Keep equipment and work area clean and free
• Detect, segregate and report non-conforming material and foreign object debris (FOD).
• Control of non-conforming material along with understanding the use of documentation reporting such issue.
• Maintain part identification and lot segregation.
• Inspect work as necessary to print specifications.
• Accurately report any damaged/nonconforming parts to team leaders/Mgr.
• Assist with packaging and shipping parts.
• Report any safety issues found in performance of normal job activities. Competencies
• Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is a plus.
• Multitasking (i.e. inspect/measure parts while other parts are running, running more than one machine at a time)
• Dexterity
• Endurance (standing on job for long-periods of time)
• Attention to detail
• Cleanliness and organization
• Focus on safety/safe work track-record Required Knowledge and Skills
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerance understanding.
• Use of many types of inspection equipment, dial indicators, gage blocks, micrometers.
• Good communication skills. Specific Training Required
• Familiarity with company forms and procedures. Education Required/Preferred
• Vocational or non-vocational High School Graduate or GED Direct Supervisor General Manager Physical/Mental Demands
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs Work Environment
• Clean and relatively quiet in most areas, hearing protection required in some areas
• Eye hazard potential, eye protection required for certain operations Frequency of Overtime/Extended Hours Occasional overtime, workload dependent.
