Laser Operator

SureCut Laser, Vernon, TX SureCut is a family-operated business that produces high quality laser parts. We are focused on safety, quality, and efficiency in our workshop so that our products will meet customer requirements.

Summary:

This position is a fast paced, precision focused running CNC Fiber tube & sheet laser cutting machines. Primarily responsible is for set-up and operation of CNC lasers. The operator will produce products meeting customer quality requirements. Operators must also operate and process parts according to part number and destination requirements. Operators must monitor machine cutting performance and utilization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform typical laser cutting operations. Select proper cutting programs, and proper fixtures. Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point. Make proper set-ups for cutting operations. Perform prescribed maintenance as required. Perform all dimensional inspections. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor. May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require. Operates a forklift

Attendance:

Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.

• Experience with the CNC laser software and equipment is preferred but not required.

Core Physical Requirements Regularly required to: Stand for extended periods. Use hands to handle or feel objects. Reach with hands and arms.

Occasionally required to:

Walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Lifting & Moving:

Frequent lifting: Up to 50 lbs.

Heavy lifting:

Partner/buddy lifting is required for items over 70 lbs and encouraged whenever needed for safety.

Work Environment Mechanical Hazards:

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
