Role Overview:
The Laundry Attendant is the backbone of our daily operations, responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean and fresh linens for guest rooms and hotel operations. By washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens to brand standards, you play a vital behind-the-scenes role in overall guest satisfaction. In this position, you will optimize each guest's experience by living out our company purpose: "hospitality from our family to yours."
Key Responsibilities Process Linens:
Sort soiled linens and terry, inspecting for stains, damage, or excessive wear.
Operate Equipment:
Load washers and dryers strictly following machine capacity and temperature guidelines.
Quality Control:
Fold, stack, and organize clean linens, ensuring they meet company quality standards before storage or distribution.
Safety & Maintenance:
Remove lint and debris from dryers after each cycle to ensure machine efficiency and fire safety.
Chemical Management:
Monitor laundry chemical levels, replace empty containers as needed, and ensure the proper handling of cleaning products per safety protocols.
Facility Upkeep:
Maintain a clean, organized laundry room by keeping walkways clear, sweeping/mopping floors, and dusting surfaces.
Inventory & Reporting:
Assist with monthly linen inventory counts. Promptly report any machine malfunctions, maintenance needs, or linen shortages to your supervisor.
Guest Service:
Greet any guests encountered during your shift with a friendly, helpful attitude.
Team Collaboration:
Support the Housekeeping Department by cross-training and assisting with houseperson and room attendant duties as needed, and coordinate with other departments to fulfill laundry-related requests.
Compliance:
Follow hotel policies for turning in lost and found items, comply with all safety/security procedures (including key control and emergency response), and promptly report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
Professionalism:
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards and complete all required safety training and certifications.
Adaptability:
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet evolving business demands. Job Qualifications Prior experience working in housekeeping or janitorial services (hotel or hospitality setting preferred). Strong attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on hotel needs, including weekends and holidays. Physical Demands Must be able to independently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds. Requires being on your feet for the majority of the shift, involving frequent standing, walking, bending, stretching, lifting, pulling, pushing, twisting, and repetitive use of arms and hands. Must be able to climb stairs and navigate around the property throughout the shift. Ability to work productively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
