POSITION
ANIMAL
CONTROL OFFICER REPORTS TO
Works under the supervision of the First Selectman and the direction of Resident Trooper Sargent and/or his designee for law enforcement purposes.
GENERAL DUTIES
Enforces the animal control regulations of the Town of New Fairfield as well as state statutes concerning animal control.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Ability to read and interpret animal control regulations. Ability to express decisions and reason through both verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate effectively with the public, various boards and commissions, other departments and staff. Valid driver's license. Certification required. See job description attached.
HOURS:
35.5 hours per week, Full time,
Non-Union SALARY :
$60,000 -70,000
