Job Description
The Animal Defense League of Texas seeks a highly qualified, professional leader to serve as its Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the strategic processes and operations of the organization that result in pet adoptions that save the lives of homeless and abandoned companion animals (dogs and cats) in San Antonio, managing and retaining an experienced and talented staff, and overseeing a current fiscal budget of approximately $ 7 million. Demonstrated accomplishments in fundraising, financial management, and budgetary oversight are required. Experience leading a successful capital campaign for a non-profit organization and animal industry experience is desired. The candidate must advocate for animal welfare and humane treatment and build strategic relationships with municipal animal welfare organizations and collaborate with national and local organizations regarding animal care and welfare concerns.
