Job Description

Position Summary:
Ensure and preserve the integrity of the judicial process as it relates to jury trials by: Coordinating the movement of the prospective jurors through the jury selection process, and the jury throughout the trial and deliberation, through deliver of the verdict and final discharge of the jurors. Attending to special needs and comforts of the jurors throughout the trial process. Supporting communication between the Court and the jury once the trial is underway. Communicating to the Court any observed or reported violation or suspicious behaviors in a timely yet discreet manner.
Examples of Duties:
Assist Court Administration with the juror check in process. Provide notepads and pens to the jury panel and collect once the jury trial has ended. Ensure jury space for breaks, lunch, and deliberation are secure from outside influence. Leading jurors from jury assembly area to the courtroom. Deliver written questions from jury to the Judge or court staff and wait for instructions. Inform Judge when a verdict is reached.
