ABOUTTHE POSITION
The Clark County Justice Court•Las Vegas is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Bailiff I/II position. The Bailiff I/II serves as a vital member of the Justice Court•Las Vegas team, responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and orderly conduct of courtroom proceedings. Working under general supervision, the Bailiff maintains courtroom decorum, provides security support, responds to emergencies, transports detainees, and assists transportation officers as needed. The role also acts as a key liaison between judges, attorneys, staff, and the public. Success in this position requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced and dynamic courtroom environment.Bailiff I:
$31.20•$46.05Hourly Bailiff II:
$33.65•$49.74 Hourly The Bailiff I is a training underfill position, upon successful completion of the training program the successful candidate will be non-competitively promoted to Bailiff II. This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months at either level or may be extended as needed by Human Resources. Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified applicants to the selection process. Some positions may be confidential positions and are excluded from membership in the union.
