Job Description

ASHLAND MUNICIPAL COURT POSITION AVAILABLE I.
Position:
Deputy Clerk/Deputy Bailiff II.
Pay/Classification:
Starting Hourly Rate is $17.00/ Non-Exempt III.
Scheduled Hours:
Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. V.
Notice of At Will Position:
This position is an At Will position. The person(s) employed by the Ashland Municipal Court under this job classification serve solely at the pleasure of the Administrative Judge. At Will positions can be terminated or modified without cause with no recourse, totally upon the discretion of the Judge and/or their designee. VI.
Immediate Supervisor:
Clerk of Court VII.
Job Duties:
Provide courteous and efficient customer service by assisting customers at the Clerk's front counter or over the telephone; Process payments on money owed on criminal and civil cases and is responsible for the accuracy of money collected daily; Complete data entry in the Court's case management software; Receive and review filings received at the front counter and completes all necessary steps to ensure the timely processing of those filings; Receive public records requests and provide records according to State and Local law; Provide assistance to other Clerk or Court staff, when necessary, due to scheduling, volume or requirements; VIII.
Requirements:
Able to count, collect and record money collected; Keyboarding and computer skills; Become independent and efficient with on-the-job training within a six (6) month period; Ashland County resident;
Pay:
$17.00 per hour
