Evaluation Assistant Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
Evaluation Assistants are responsible for travelling to various locations to assist doctors in conducting medical-legal examinations. Other duties include securing medical records, maintaining medical supplies inventory, and taking measurements and vitals during the examination process. Applicants must display good decision-making skills and communicate effectively. Must be friendly and professional.
Core responsibilities include:
Review all charts, appointment times, and accuracy of location for upcoming exams. Communicate with the office as patients attend, and anything that needs to be relayed to office staff. Process requests for diagnostics. Ensure all examination documentation and forms are completely and correctly filled out by both the doctor and examinee. Be familiar with all examination equipment and procedures (blood pressure, measurements, etc.).
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Be available to respond to all communications (email, text, phone calls) within one business day. Be responsible for the safe-keeping and care of assigned examination equipment. Professional dress is required, and medical scrubs will be issued.
Core Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A positive and highly customer service-oriented attitude. Punctual and responsive to all requests. Ability to interact with doctors, examinees, and office staff in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to travel to various geographic locations for examinations. Must be able to utilize various mobile applications and computer software programs as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Possess knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, disease processes.
