Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)
Location:
Richland, WA Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Are you looking for a rewarding position supporting our nation's Veterans with no treatment planning and no prescribing required ? We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented NP or PA to join our team in Richland, WA! Position Overview In this key role, you will perform one-time, non-treatment Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams and Disability Assessments for Veterans.
No Treatment or Prescribing:
Focus purely on reviewing medical history and documenting findings.
Electronic Charting:
Capture exam responses and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and Medical Opinions (MOs) through a web-based portal.
In-Person Role:
Serve Veterans directly in our Richland clinic location. (
Note:
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs makes all final disability determinations). Key Responsibilities Review pertinent medical records, service history, and previous exam documentation. Conduct focused bodily system evaluations and explain the exam process clearly to Veterans. Order/interpret diagnostic tests as needed (e.g., labs, spirometry, ECGs). Complete electronic charting accurately within 24-48 hours of the appointment.
Requirements Qualifications & Skills License:
Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
Skills:
Strong computer proficiency (EMR platforms, MS Office Suite), excellent critical thinking, and professional communication skills.

Compassionate, highly organized, and committed to providing respectful, quality service to all Veterans.
Preferred:
Prior clinical setting experience; prior VA or C&P examination experience is a plus!
