Position Overview:
We are seeking a certified DOT Medical Examiner to perform Department of Transportation physical examinations and related occupational health services for commercial motor vehicle drivers in accordance with FMCSA regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and committed to ensuring driver safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct DOT physical examinations following FMCSA guidelines. Accurately complete and submit Medical Examination Reports and Medical Examiner's Certificates. Maintain accurate and compliant medical records according to federal and state regulations. Provide guidance to drivers regarding medical requirements and follow-up recommendations. Stay current on all
DOT/FMCSA
regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
Must be a licensed MD, DO, APRN, or PA in the State of Ohio. Must be listed on the FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME). Strong understanding of
DOT/FMCSA
medical standards and regulations. Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage exam flow efficiently.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with DOT physicals, drug testing, and occupational health services. Proficiency with EMR systems and digital documentation. Strong decision-making ability and attention to detail.
Work Environment:
Based in Northeast Ohio Flexible scheduling options available depending on business needs.
