Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Department of Corrections Location 266 Water St Eddyville, KY 42038 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 13 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population. The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior. Kentucky State Penitentiary is seeking applicants for an Administrative Specialist I within the Programs Branch at the institution in performing administrative tasks for the Branch. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Provide administrative support for the Programs Branch. Compile inmate transfer data, maintain tracking in Kentucky Offender Management System (KOMS). Maintain and update logs of approved inmate transfers. Prepare weekly approved transfer list. Prepare and draft correspondence for management. Coordinate with other areas regarding transfers. Maintain time and attendance records. Answer incoming phone calls for the Branch. Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
One year of professional, administrative, or business experience. SubstituteEDUCATION
