At the Wilkinson County Correctional Facility in Woodville, MS, our foundation is based upon the philosophies of caring about others, giving back, and making a social impact. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping an at-risk population receive the treatment necessary for success on their road back to a healthy, productive life.Position Summary:
Directly oversees program implementation in dorms where interLIFT is present. Responsible for training treatment and security staff and providing ongoing coaching and feedback for staff facilitating interLIFT groups. Collaborates with the interLIFT implementation team to implement programs in new dorms within the facility and the state within Wilkinson County facility policies, as well as Management &Training Corporation (MTC), and Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) policies and directives.Essential Functions:
Plan, coordinate and direct interLIFT implementation efforts at designated sites. 2. Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance and program efficacy. 3. Collect feedback related to the program, analyze and develop action steps for continuous improvement. 4. Spearhead data collection and analysis for individual programs. Share results with the Research Director for further use in academic studies. 5. Collaborate with Director of Commercialization to develop a set of standards for each interLIFT setting. 6. Develop performance improvement plans for settings that are struggling to meet expectations. 7. Lead expansion efforts within a facility to set up interLIFT in a variety of settings. 8. Coordinate with the technology supervisor to oversee the procurement, installation and maintenance of hardware related to interLIFT programming. 9. Maintain fidelity of the interLIFT program through ongoing training and evaluation. 10. Weekly travel required for site visits and implementation. 11. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervene when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques. 12. Maintain accountability of Inmates and property; adhere to safety practices. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED. Current and unrestricted license as one of the following: Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (or equivalent), Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (or equivalent), Licensed Master's Social Worker (or equivalent), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (or equivalent). Three (3) years or more correctional or higher learning experience doing one or more of the following: Providing treatment directly to participants, Leading structured skill building groups, Providing case management services. One (1) year or more supervisory experience leading teams in the correctional or higher education space. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.Post Hire Requirements:
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain security clearance, for continued employment in position.
