Job Description

Overview We are seeking dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team as Correctional Officers. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining safety and security within the correctional facility, ensuring the well-being of both inmates and staff. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in upholding law enforcement standards while managing conflicts and promoting rehabilitation. Responsibilities Monitor inmate activities to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations. Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including surveillance through CCTV systems. Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing first aid and CPR when necessary. Maintain order by effectively managing conflicts among inmates using conflict management techniques. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and daily activities for record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with law enforcement personnel and other staff to ensure a secure environment. Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills in security protocols and emergency response. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in law enforcement or military experience is preferred. Strong understanding of security procedures and conflict management strategies. Ability to operate CCTV equipment and monitor surveillance feeds effectively. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Excellent report writing skills for documenting incidents accurately. Strong communication skills to interact with inmates, staff, and external agencies effectively. Physical fitness to perform duties that may require standing for long periods or responding quickly in emergencies.
