Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inmate searches and cell inspections to prevent the introduction or possession of contraband. Work as part of a team of Correctional Detention Officers (CDOs) to manage and oversee housing units of 10-205 inmates. Complete reports and documentation related to inmate behavior, incidents, and daily activities. Uphold facility regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency-specific standards for inmate care and detention.
Required Skills and Attributes:
Prior experience in inmate searches and applying hand restraints is essential. Must be able to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure, especially during high-stress or emergency situations. Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in managing large inmate populations with other officers.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily within a secure jail facility, with duties requiring prolonged periods of standing, walking, and physical alertness.
