Detention Officer

Job Summary Join our team as a Detention Officer and become a vital part of maintaining safety, security, and order within detention facilities. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of detainee management, ensure compliance with legal and safety protocols, and respond effectively to incidents. Responsibilities Monitor detainees through CCTV systems and conduct regular visual inspections to ensure safety and security. Enforce facility rules and regulations while managing detainee behavior through conflict management techniques. Respond promptly to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary, coordinating with emergency services as needed. Maintain accurate records by writing detailed incident reports, detainee logs, and other documentation required for legal compliance. Conduct security checks on visitors, staff, and contractors entering the facility to prevent unauthorized access. Assist law enforcement agencies with investigations or transfers by providing relevant information and support. Manage conflicts or disturbances calmly and professionally to de-escalate situations effectively. Experience No Prior Experience Necessary. ( On the job training provided. )

Pay:

$17.66 - $20.00 per hour
