- OPS•Institutions Operations Job Classification Title Correctional Officer I (S) Position Number 60074055 Grade CR05 About Us The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees.
- Provide secure transportation of offender(s) to and from the residence in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily security, safety, and sanitation inspections of the residence.
- Assign and oversee the daily duties and work assignments of offenders assigned to the residence.
- Maintain and ensure the proper care and operational condition of equipment assigned to the residence and grounds.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, as needed to support the operations, security, and maintenance of the residence and grounds.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Grade Range:
$42,512.00- $74,396.
Special Provision:
Must live within 30 minutes of the mansion due to maximum response to visitor request or special instructions is 30 minutes. The salary grade for this position is NC05. State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position. Based upon these factors, a pay increase May result.About The Division of Institutions:
The Division of Institutions manages the daily operations of all state-operated prison facilities across North Carolina. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions. The division provides safety, security, and rehabilitative services through trained custody staff, program facilitators, and administrative personnel.Supplemental Contact Information:
