Job Description
Summary of Work Work activities involve providing supervision, security and assistance to juveniles in attaining cognitive treatment goals within a juvenile correctional facility. Position works five 8-hour shifts per week, with a monthly rotating schedule. Duties and Tasks Supervise juveniles committed to the care, custody and control of the ND Division of Juvenile Services who are placed at the ND Youth Correctional Center. Observe juvenile behavior patterns and communicate behavior patterns to team through reports and documentation. Conduct observation rounds of juveniles and maintain counts of juveniles. Diffuse disruptive/destructive behaviors through crisis intervention and verbal counseling whenever possible. Uses physical intervention techniques to gain control if required. Respond to facility/unit emergency crisis situations utilizing the appropriate contingency plans. Minimum Qualifications Work experience with the primary focus in youth/adult care, supervision and intervention. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Start date 8/3/2026.
